About the B95

The Textron Aviation B95 Travel Air is an American twin-engine, type-certificated fixed-wing aircraft designed to seat a single crew member alongside passengers. Created to bridge the gap between single-engine models and larger multi-engine aircraft, it offers a conventional layout powered by two flat-four piston engines and serves as a capable light transport for private and commercial utility roles.

Initially developed by Beechcraft as a competitor in the light twin market, the aircraft borrowed design elements from several previous models, incorporating a Bonanza-based fuselage, a Mentor vertical stabilizer, and a Twin Bonanza wing spar. Although initially designated as the Badger, the name was changed to avoid confusion with a Soviet bomber, leading the manufacturer to reuse the historical Travel Air moniker. It was initially priced competitively below rivals from Cessna and Piper during its production era.
