About the I-11B Peque

The Aisa I-11B Peque is a single-engine civil utility aircraft manufactured in Spain. It is configured as a fixed-wing low-wing monoplane featuring a single piston engine and side-by-side seating for two occupants. The type is well-suited for aeroclub operations, pilot training, and liaison missions.

Originating from the Spanish firm Iberavia, the design saw its initial prototype take to the air in July 1951. Following Aisa's acquisition of the original company, management revised the prototype by swapping the landing gear to a taildragger layout and reducing the canopy size. Production formally began in the 1950s after securing orders from civil aviation authorities and the Spanish military, which later led to the development of a tandem-seated variant equipped with an inverted powerplant.
