About the Fletcher FU-24

The Air Parts Fletcher FU-24 is a fixed-wing agricultural aircraft originating from New Zealand, powered by a single engine. Designed for utility tasks such as aerial topdressing and skydiving, it features a conventional low-wing monoplane layout with a tricycle undercarriage, side-by-side seating, and an aluminium corrosion-resistant airframe.

Developed after New Zealand operators sought replacements for war-surplus aircraft, the project was led by an American engineer with construction funded by local firms. Early models were shipped in kit form for assembly, leading eventually to full local production and numerous engine and turbine conversions over its operational lifespan.
