About the AW119 Mkii
The Agusta AW119 MKII is a type-certificated rotorcraft utility helicopter seating up to eight occupants. Powered by a single turboshaft engine, it is tailored for civil market operators seeking the reduced running costs associated with single-engine aircraft rather than twin-engine redundancy.
Conceived during a financial recovery period for Agusta, the design evolved from earlier stretched concepts and underwent significant development, including a powerplant change from initial engines to a Pratt & Whitney turbine. Fuselages are manufactured in Poland, while final assembly has taken place in Italy and the United States, alongside efforts to establish joint ventures for production in other international markets.
