About the L-60 Brigadýr
The Aero L-60 Brigadýr is a Czechoslovak fixed-wing utility aircraft featuring a high-wing configuration. Operated by a single crew member, this propeller-driven machine was developed for both civil and military applications, particularly suited for short takeoff and landing operations.
Initially conceived as a replacement for wartime liaison types, the project underwent extensive redesign following an unsuccessful first prototype flight, leading to a second prototype powered by a flat-six engine. Production by Aero yielded hundreds of examples, including variants equipped with alternative radial engines and metal tail assemblies.
