About the Pulsar XP

The Aero-Designs Pulsar XP is an American fixed-wing homebuilt aircraft tailored for amateur construction. It features a side-by-side two-seat enclosed cockpit beneath a bubble canopy, a cantilever low-wing layout, and a single engine in a tractor configuration. Constructed largely from composites, the airframe typically utilizes a fixed tricycle landing gear, though a conventional setup with wheel pants remains an option. The design suits builders seeking a light recreational aircraft with cross-country capabilities.

Mark Brown conceived the aircraft as a development of the Star-Lite Aircraft Star Lite. Initial production began under the original manufacturer in San Antonio, Texas, before manufacturing rights transferred to subsequent companies in Idaho and California, each introducing their own iterations. Over the years, dozens of examples have been registered with aviation authorities across multiple countries, including the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
