Tecnam P2012 VIP Makes American Debut at Oshkosh
The executive twin-engine aircraft made its first appearance in the United States at EAA AirVenture in Wisconsin.
Tecnam showcased the U.S. debut of the P2012 VIP on July 24, 2026, at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. The twin-engine aircraft previously made its global debut earlier in the year at AERO Friedrichshafen. The company designed the VIP variant for private owners and corporate operators, transforming the P2012 Traveller platform into an executive travel environment.
Giovanni Pascale Langer, Managing Director at Tecnam, stated that the U.S. market anticipated an aircraft combining executive comfort with the safety and efficiency of the P2012 platform. He noted that displaying the aircraft at Oshkosh gives American operators and private owners a chance to experience the Italian craftsmanship and engineering.
Francesco Sferra, who serves as the P2012 Sales and Business Development Manager, highlighted the passenger experience during flight. According to Sferra, the interior provides a comfortable, luxurious, and relaxing atmosphere equipped with amenities, connectivity, and working space for productivity. He also stated that the VIP interior matches all engine and wing variants of the P2012 series.
The aircraft is exhibited at the Tecnam booth during the event alongside other models. These include the U.S. debut of the Rivale concept, the P-Mentor advanced trainer, and the P2010 Gran Lusso 215 hp with factory-certified air conditioning.
