Cirrus introduced the TRAC10 to its existing flight training aircraft product line, aiming the new aircraft at collegiate, professional, and career-oriented flight schools. The company announced that United States deliveries will begin in 2027, followed by international deliveries in 2028. According to Cirrus, orders totaling more than 100 aircraft have already been secured from 13 professional flight schools worldwide.

Chief Executive Officer Zean Nielsen stated that the aircraft represents the company's answer to the needs of professional flight schools. President of Innovation and Operations Pat Waddick noted that the design challenges older norms by combining safety, durability, and operational efficiency through simple interfaces.

The aircraft is powered by a turbocharged Rotax 916 iSc FADEC engine producing 160 horsepower. Fuel consumption is reported as low as 5.9 gallons per hour when operating at 65% power in cruise. The engine accepts 100LL AvGas, unleaded 91/94, and select Mogas blends.

Inside the cabin, the TRAC10 features a three-seat configuration designed for crew-based observational training. The rear observer seat is placed between two large windows in an elevated position and can include a configurable display. Adjustable seats and rudder pedals accommodate varying heights, and the interior includes USB-C ports, cup holders, storage, and optional air conditioning.

Safety features include the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System, Electronic Stability and Protection, a Blue Level Button, airline-like stick shakers for stall warnings, and a cuffed-wing design for spin resistance. The Rotax engine provides automated fuel management and built-in redundancy to reduce workload. Cirrus IQ handles wireless data transmission for fleet management, third-party debrief applications, and automatic database updates.

Manufacturing will take place at company headquarters located in Duluth, Minnesota. Cirrus has been recognized as a high-performance single-engine piston manufacturer for over two decades, with a history dating back to 1984.
