British Women Pilots Association Announces Opening of 2026 Aviation Scholarships
Applications are now open for fifteen British Women Pilots Association scholarships aimed at supporting female aviators across the United Kingdom.
According to Pilot, the British Women Pilots Association has started accepting applications for its upcoming scholarship program. The initiative is intended to assist women of all backgrounds and ages in the UK to reach their aviation ambitions. This effort aligns directly with a primary organizational goal of encouraging female training and professional employment inside the aviation sector.
A total of fifteen awards are open this year, accommodating various types of flying and all experience levels. These grants assist recipients through multiple stages, such as securing initial credentials, expanding upon current ratings, or advancing toward an initial professional pilot position.
Candidates must provide details regarding their present flying background, their favorite aspects of aviation, their justification for receiving the prize, and their intended application of the funding should they win. A panel of judges reviews these submissions to shortlist applicants based on who demonstrates the greatest promise for their aviation future.
BWPA Chair Annabel Cook stated that the awards maintain an elevated industry benchmark and create a genuine, enduring impact for recipients. Cook noted that the grants assist aviators across diverse phases of flight, ranging from initial entry points into the industry up to skill enhancement and career progression.
