Detailed Description

2022 Epic E1000 GX | N409FS | S/N K031 | FIKI | 1,429 Hours Total Time

N409FS is a well-sorted, FIKI-equipped 2022 Epic E1000 GX with 1,429 hours total time and more than 2,000 hours remaining until engine overhaul. Every annual inspection has been performed by Epic Flight Support, the factory service center in Bend, Oregon, with interim maintenance by established turbine shops. The current annual, completed in March 2026, is good through March 2027. For an owner-pilot who wants single-pilot turboprop performance with real all-weather capability, this is a strong example.

N409FS is equipped for flight into known icing. The system covers the wings, horizontal stabilizer and engine inlet with pneumatic de-ice boots, and adds propeller and windshield de-ice, an ice detector and lift computer ice mode. In February 2025, Epic Flight Support complied with Epic Service Bulletin SB-0035 (FIKI Update), including the required check flight.

Power comes from the Pratt & Whitney PT6A-67A, rated at 1,200 shaft horsepower and turning a five-blade Hartzell propeller. The engine has 2,071 hours remaining until its 3,500-hour overhaul, and the propeller has 2,571 hours remaining until its 4,000-hour overhaul. The engine received a thorough going-over at the March 2026 annual: a hot section borescope inspection, fuel nozzle cleaning and flow check, a power recovery wash and new igniters. The next hot section and fuel nozzle inspection isn't due until 1,698 hours.

The flight deck is the Garmin G1000 NXi with 2x GDU 1050 10" PFDs with synthetic vision and a GDU 1250 12" MFD, supported by dual Garmin GSU 75B ADAHRS, dual Garmin GTX 335DR / GTX 345DR transponders with ADS-B Out and In, and an L3 ESI-500 standby instrument. The Garmin GFC 700 AFCS autopilot, Garmin GTS 825 traffic advisory system and Garmin GDL 69A SiriusXM weather and audio round out the package, along with Epic's stick shaker / pusher stall warning and prevention system. The aircraft is RVSM approved, and the RVSM inspection, pitot-static and transponder certifications are current through February 2027.

N409FS has been maintained with a clear eye toward keeping it right rather than just keeping it legal. Epic service bulletins are complied with through the March 2026 annual. The last two years brought a long list of fresh components, including:

new wing lift transducers in February 2025

a new starter/generator in September 2024

new main batteries in June 2025

a new elevator trim actuator in September 2025

The nose gear strut was resealed and the hydraulic suppressor rebuilt at the March 2026 annual. The brakes have been refreshed with overhauled components, and the airframe received paint touch-up in early 2025. The ELT battery is good through November 2028, the oxygen cylinder hydrostatic test is due February 2027, and the emergency gear extension bottle's hydrostatic test is due February 2028.

The exterior is white with blue and silver accents. The six-place pressurized cabin seats two crew and four passengers in light leather seats, with air conditioning, crew and passenger oxygen, and USB power at the passenger seats.

N409FS brings together low time, FIKI capability and annual inspections by the factory service center. It's ready to go to work for its next owner. Complete digital logbooks since new are available for review by qualified buyers.
