Detailed Description

"Stubbs" is a distinctive, metalized Piper Tri-Pacer with a 160 HP Lycoming engine, extensive surviving aircraft records dating to 1960, and numerous recent maintenance and cabin improvements. With its 160 HP Lycoming engine, relatively light airframe, 8.00-6 main tires and Madras wingtips, Stubbs is well suited to recreational flying in the Mountain West. Based at a high-elevation airport (7500') in northern New Mexico, this Tri-Pacer has been operated in mountainous terrain. Its straightforward systems and practical configuration make it an appealing airplane for exploring rural and backcountry destinations. It should be noted that it operates best as a 2-place in higher density altitudes.
