N9916W is an honest, well-equipped Cherokee 140 that offers a lot of capability without pretending to be a show airplane.

The biggest strengths here are the low-time Lycoming O-320, modern IFR panel, dual Garmin G5s, and Garmin GNC 355 touchscreen GPS/comm. For someone looking for an airplane to train in, finish an instrument rating, build time, or simply own and fly regularly, this is a very practical setup.

Cosmetically, the airplane presents nicely from about 10 feet away, but up close I would rate the paint around a 5/10, primarily because of clearcoat deterioration and imperfections. The interior is approximately a 6/10. It is functional and serviceable, but it isn't particularly pretty. The current owner used it as a time builder and now he has an airline job. This Cherokee has served him well and now it is time for it's next owner.

The engine has only 496 hours since major overhaul. Current compressions are a strong 72, 74, 72, and 74.

If you're looking for perfect cosmetics, this probably isn't the Cherokee for you. If you'd rather spend your money on a low-time engine, useful upgrades, and a capable IFR panel instead of fresh paint and upholstery, this airplane deserves a look.
