Airframe

When this Cessna 172C left the factory on March 26, 1962, it was built to be a seaplane; however, it was never used as a seaplane. It was never a trainer, there's no hail dents, corrosion and no damage. It has always been hangared, kept waxed and has been based in north Texas and Oklahoma its entire life. Its an exceptional aircraft and has always been privately owned.

Engine

The engine is a Continental 0-300-D. It has ten hours SMOH, and only the best parts were used including Millennium Cylinders. All scat hose, silicone baffling and related parts were replaced.

Avionics

  • Garmin 300 XL GPS/COM
  • PMA Audio Panel and Intercom
  • KX 170B
  • GTX 335 (out) transponder
  • Master Avionics Switch
  • Tail Strobe

Interior

In 1997, the aircraft was sent to a professional paint shop. The original paint was stripped, all flight controls removed/balanced and zine chromate applied to entire airframe. Then it was painted with Aluminum-Grip white and trimmed with GET-GLO Sable Brown, Oakwood Brown, Sahara Tan and Moondust. The paint is still stunning. The interior was done at the same time, and AIR-TEX carpet was recently

Remarks

The aircraft has all the log books since it was manufactured and has had well-documented maintenance. The next annual is due September 2027. The prop is a McCauley 1C172/EM7652 S/N 70420. There is some very minor hangar rash under the left elevator that's hardly noticeable. The aircraft is a living estate sale.
