Detailed Description
250KTS! THIS is the Riley Rocket you've been waiting for! 1960 310D "remanufactured" by Jack Riley to a Riley Rocket Turbo 300 completed in 1967. Riley replaced "The Rocket's" stock Continental IO-470 engines with the Lycoming IO-540's and added Twin Rajay Turbos (turbo normalized) giving this machine a top speed of over 250kts TAS at FL250! Riley also added speed mods including the beautiful Riley Rocket aerodynamic nose cone, reconfigured the fuel system and added nacelle tanks giving much simpler fuel management of its 172 gallon capacity and over 1200nm range. Interior has been upgraded with new seats while maintaining the original Riley Rocket styling and paint scheme. Panel was upgraded with uAvionix, WAAS GPS, JPI-790, and eliminated the vacuum pumps for reduced weight and simplifying annuals. Meticulous care has been taken of this beast for the past 5 years to modernize and comply with all AD's including all V-Band clamps. With less than 1300 hours on the 2000TBO engines and 5500 hours on the airframe, this is an amazing cross-country platform that makes 500nm trips easily within anyone's bladder limitation time. :) It's also a 5 seater leaving a HUGE luggage space where the 6th seat would have been, and the 5th seat is easily removed making insurance less to list as a 4 seater. This plane is the most cost-effective way to get into 200Kts+ aircraft and build your multi-engine time, or to have a great and reliable go-places machine. Built-in oxygen for all seats lets you confidently cruise at 17,500 above a lot of the weather and turbulence, or for you IFR jockeys, head up to the flight levels and let her rip! I hate to sell but am now flying corporate and simply do not have the time to fly for personal trips any longer and want to find a great home for "The Rocket". All logs and documents available on request for serious buyers only. Cash only, no trades.
