About the SE
The Velocity SE is a homebuilt, fixed-wing aircraft originating in the United States. Configured as a canard pusher layout with a four-seat composite cabin and a single horizontally opposed piston engine, it is suited for amateur builders and private aviators.
Derived from earlier canard designs, the prototype first flew in the mid-nineteen-eighties with fixed landing gear, though retractable options were introduced later. Subsequent design refinements included an optional larger wing that altered flight characteristics to resemble conventional light utility aircraft, as well as the later introduction of an enlarged variant.
