About the Vari-Eze

The Rutan Aircraft Factory VariEze is a single-seat, composite homebuilt aircraft designed in the United States by Burt Rutan, featuring an unconventional canard layout and air-cooled flat-four engine. Hundreds of examples have been constructed by amateur builders.

The aircraft is historically significant for popularizing both the canard configuration and moldless glass cloth composite construction methods among homebuilders, subsequently influencing the development of several larger cabin canard designs.
