About the Calidus

The AutoGyro Calidus is a German autogyro built by AutoGyro GmbH in Hildesheim and delivered ready to fly. This single-engine gyrocopter features two seats in a tandem layout inside an enclosed, aerodynamic composite cabin with a teardrop shape. It is equipped with tricycle landing gear featuring wheel pants and utilizes a pusher propeller setup. It serves private operators well, and modified versions have also been approved internationally.

The aircraft was created in Germany, and a modified variant was later approved in the United Kingdom. Builders integrated vibration dampers to minimize the transmission of main rotor vibrations into the cabin. Operators in North America have registered examples in specialized categories with aviation authorities in the United States and Canada. Additionally, the baseline layout served as the foundation for developing a side-by-side seating variant known as the AutoGyro Cavalon.

This page covers the Autogyro Certification CALIDUS, Calidus: the same aircraft under other designations.
