About the Locamp
The Aerolab LOCAMP is an Italian amateur-built, fixed-wing aircraft featuring a single-engine tractor configuration and a low-wing layout with a tandem two-seat open cockpit. It is intended to evoke the aesthetic of vintage aeroplanes from the nineteen-thirties and is generally distributed in kit form for home construction.
The structural framework utilizes welded steel tubing alongside wooden or optional aluminium wing assemblies, covered in fabric. Standard power is supplied by an air-cooled radial engine, though alternative powerplants have been evaluated. Builders can construct the airframe using standard airfoils, and the enterprise has explored offering fully assembled editions for light-sport categories.
