Description

"After nearly 50 years in the air show business flying 100 mph (miles per hour), no radio airplanes, depending on the wind direction and velocity, and having to stop every 175 to 200 miles to fuel along with my other aviation activities I was thinking that I might have a world record in the number of airports I have been on. With this in mind, I decided to find out, knowing that any sort of record has to be certified."

"After completing my list of airports, I sent copies to Guinness Book of Records and to my well traveled brothers for their comments. The reply from Guinness was a surprise and disappointment. They politely told me that they were not interested in such a record. A call to my brothers concerning the Guinness disappointment brought the suggestion from brother Martin that I publish my attempt at a record as a book."
