The first time offered, this Miles Messenger is a low-time restoration of a capable and classy classic! With barely a dozen hours flown since complete, ground-up, years-long restoration, this remarkably versatile machine is set for the next chapter in its journey with a new lease of life on airframe, engine and propeller. One of just 93 examples completed following the flight of the prototype in 1942, the Messenger surprised pilots and onlookers alike with its remarkable performance range. Designed as a STOL aircraft for military use, unlike most slow-speed specialty aircraft (stall speed 22 knots!), it also boasted a respectable cruise of around 110 knots.
