Description
Easily one of the nicest private aircraft in Ireland, EI-GVC is a 2018 Aerospool WT9 Dynamic LSA Club, serial number 18003, and one of the best-presented aircraft we have listed for a while. Built at the Aerospool factory in Prievidza, Slovakia, the Dynamic is type-certified by EASA under TCDS EASA.A.644 to the CS-LSA standard. That puts it in a different class from homebuilt and permit aircraft. EI-GVC is the tow version, which brings a constant-speed propeller, extra climb performance and the equipment to tow gliders or banners. It has a fresh ARC and an uncomplicated, well-documented history.
The aircraft was delivered new in April 2018 as G-LXAA, the demonstrator for Aerospool's UK agent, and the factory fitted the tow equipment in 2019. In 2020 it was bought by its present sole private owner and moved onto the Irish register, where it has flown ever since as EI-GVC. It has been privately owned and cherished, hangared all its life and used for local and cross-country flying. The airframe, engine and propeller each have just 300 hours total time since new, so the engine still has the great majority of its life ahead of it.
The aircraft holds an IAA Restricted Certificate of Airworthiness in the Light Sport Aeroplane category, which is valid for international navigation. Its Airworthiness Review Certificate runs until December 2026. Continuing airworthiness is managed under Part-ML by Claddagh Aircraft Maintenance at Sligo, and all maintenance has been carried out in line with the manufacturer's manuals. The full document set comes with the aircraft: the IAA Approved Flight Manual, Pilot's Operating Handbook and supplements, Aircraft Maintenance Manual, TCDS, noise certificate, radio licence, and the factory weight and balance records. There is also a set of worked loading examples specific to this aircraft.
Power comes from the 100 hp Rotax 912 ULS2, one of the most reliable and economical engines in light aviation. It drives a three-blade Woodcomp KW-31 propeller (EASA.P.177), whose pitch is set electrically by a Flybox controller in either constant-speed or manual mode. The difference over a fixed-pitch Dynamic is noticeable at every stage of flight. The aircraft accelerates harder on take-off, climbs at up to 1,190 fpm, and settles into a relaxed, efficient cruise. Aerospool's figures for this configuration give 124 KIAS at 2,000 ft and 5,500 rpm, a top speed of 135 KIAS and a VNE of 142 KCAS. Stall speed is just 33 KIAS with full flap, so the aircraft lands slowly and short.
With 119 litres of usable fuel in two wing tanks, endurance runs to about six and a half hours depending on the power setting. That makes the Dynamic a genuine touring aircraft. Ireland to the UK or continental Europe is a comfortable proposition rather than an expedition. The basic empty weight is a light 359 kg, giving a useful load of about 240 kg within the 600 kg maximum take-off weight. There are baggage compartments both forward and behind the seats.
Safety equipment is comprehensive. A Magnum 601 S-LSA ballistic rescue system is installed, with its activation handle on the centre pedestal. Stall warning comes three ways: a lamp, a buzzer and a stick shaker. Both seats have four-point harnesses, and the rear-view camera fitted for towing doubles as a useful extra set of eyes on the ground.
Inside, the cockpit is finished in durable textured dark grey. It is tidy and logically laid out, with guarded magneto, master and fuel pump switches, clear labelling throughout, and a central pedestal that falls naturally to hand. The large bubble canopy and rear side windows give exceptional all-round visibility, one of the Dynamic's best-loved features. Outside, EI-GVC wears the factory livery of gloss white with flowing red and grey stripes, carried through onto the winglets, the full wheel fairings and the fin. Having always been hangared, the paint retains a deep gloss, and the canopy is clear. We rate both the interior and the exterior 9/10.
The Dynamic has earned its reputation as one of the finest-handling aircraft in its class. Its controls are light and crisp, its composite airframe is slippery, and it is fast enough to feel like a much larger aircraft. EI-GVC adds a constant-speed propeller and a modern glass panel, and it has a low-hours, single-owner history.
It is sold with the manufacturer's original fuselage cover and a full Clouddancer WT9 cover (new value €1,500). It also comes with two sets of chocks, propeller covers and a pitot cover. Viewing and test flights can be arranged in Ireland.
Remarks
Prior to this aircraft's purchase in 2020 by the present sole private owner, it was formally registered as G-LXAA and used as a demo model by the manufacturer’s UK’s Agent.
This Aircraft is in excellent condition with all maintenance carried out in accordance with manuals. It has been always hangered and used only for local and cross country flights
