N6982U is a very good plane. Flown regularly. The frame is clean. There are no fuel leaks. The bladders are in great shape. This plane flys tight like a sports car. No play in the trim or yokes. There was some hanger damage to one wing tip about 35 years ago. Other than that, no accidents or wheel up landings. Hangared for the past 40 years. The paint is original, so it’s easy to see the history. ADs have all been complied with. Issues during my last three annuals were minimal. Oil testing has beed done with no flags. We installed a new muffler, new tires, brakes, thin wire spark plugs and a new electric fuel pump recently.

I’ve prepped the plane for modern avionics. We just installed the Plane Power alternator kit with solid state voltage regulator. Those were a huge upgrade. Also, replaced the wiring with modern RG 400 shielded cable. And the Garmin GA 37 WAAS GPS antenna with XM antenna. And new, high end VHF antennas with notch filters to shield them from GPS
