The mission has changed, IFR Certified 1969 Piper Cherokee 140/160 with recent annual (6/18/26). Time for this plane to help someone else build hours or instruct in. I purchased this plane a little over a year ago and have used it to finish my hours towards ATP minimums. Dual Garmin G5s with battery backups and King 150 Nav (So no vacuum system anymore) This plane still has a century autopilot system installed but it was never tied into the G5s when they did the upgrade. However, the system itself still works but is not usable due to having no input data. From my understanding there is a Garmin adapter that can make this system functional again. Airplane has just had both mags done so new owner should be good for another 500 hours (inspection completed by Poplar Grove Airmotive and Aircraft Magneto Services). Carburetor was overhauled by D&G and reinstalled last year as well. Just had the IFR and transponder certifications completed as well (September of 2026). Have all logs since new for this aircraft. The interior is in great shape. The bad is the paint on the wings is pretty rough. The fuselage still looks really nice, but the wings are beginning to peel. Outside of the paint the plane is in good shape with no corrosion. All logbooks are here and complete. Aircraft has a total time of just over 7000 hours. The engine was redone by Penn Yan Aero and now has 1400 hours on it since overhaul. Compressions last annual were 70, 73, 16 and 69. Cylinder 3 was replaced at that time with a rebuild and new piston head. Oil consumption has been tracked since I've owner the plane and it is approximately 1 quart every 10 hours. All ADs are complied with.
