Airframe
Exterior is the bulk of the investment. Every major structural component of the airframe - fuselage, wings, ailerons, flaps, and empennage - has been fully inspected and, where needed, had its sheet metal professionally restored to near-mint condition by a qualified sheet-metal specialist. The goal throughout was structural integrity, not cosmetic patching, which is why the work was carried out to a high workmanship standard rather than strictly against Cessna's own structural repair data - worth stating plainly so a buyer's engineer or DER can evaluate the repair documentation against whichever certification path they intend to pursue. Once structural work was complete, the airframe was epoxy-primed and painted. The result is a corrosion-free, freshly finished set of major components, ready to be assembled rather than restored. Windshield is included in the same freshly finished state. Main and nose landing gear are also included and are the most work-ready item
Engine
Engine is the original type for this airframe, a Continental IO-520-A (fuel-injected, normally aspirated, horizontally opposed six-cylinder). Fully out of limits / run-out, included as a removed core - suitable for a field overhaul, exchange against a factory reman, or as a study/parts source. Total time on engine: [TTE - 774:39 HRS, OH in 2000]. Propeller [McCauley, E2A34C73-QP/S90AT-8, S/N: 941849, 00:00 HRS] was overhauled in 2017 and has been in dry storage since; it has not flown since that overhaul and will need a full re-inspection (very likely a reseal, per the manufacturer's return-to-service-after-storage requirements) before it goes back on an engine. Several additional major rotable components are included with the sale as well, supplied as cores since most are at or beyond their own service or calendar limits - budget for overhaul or replacement rather than treating them as ready to install. Full logbooks for engine, propeller, and airframe are available to serious inquirers.
Avionics
None fitted. There is no panel, no radios, no GPS/nav, no autopilot, and no wiring loom currently installed - the aircraft is a clean electrical and avionics blank slate. For most buyers taking on a project at this stage, that's an advantage rather than a gap: you aren't paying for, or stripping out, someone else's dated equipment or wiring. The panel opening and structure are original and intact, ready for whatever the buyer specifies - a faithful steam-gauge retrofit for a period-correct build, or a full modern glass installation for an IFR-capable rebuild. No avionics, radios, wiring, or circuit breakers are included.
Interior
Interior included, but entirely original to 1966 and never restored, reupholstered, or refreshed. The cabin retains its original six-place configuration - front and rear seat frames, sidewall panels, headliner, carpet, and instrument panel shell - exactly as it left the factory, aside from the wear and age you'd expect from six decades untouched. Condition should be judged as-is from the photo set and in person; no claims are made about the serviceability of any interior material, foam, or trim. For a buyer pursuing a period-correct or retro-style restoration, this is a genuine asset: original patterns, hardware, and proportions to work from rather than guess at. For anyone building toward a modern cabin, treat it as a clean starting point for a full teardown and reupholster.
Remarks
This is a restoration-in-progress, not a flying aircraft, sold strictly as-is/where-is with no representation of airworthiness. Full structural inspection, sheet-metal restoration, and paint on every major component - meaning the heaviest, most specialized phase of the rebuild is already behind whoever takes this on. Not included: airframe hardware and fasteners, avionics, and electrical wiring - budget for these as part of your completion cost. Given the airframe finish and the completely blank interior and panel, the aircraft is equally suited to a faithful retro-style restoration or a modern rebuild, and - for a buyer interested in exploring it - a reasonable candidate for an alternative-powerplant project; there is no established, widely available diesel STC for this airframe today, so treat that as an engineering path to investigate rather than an off-the-shelf option. Full photographic documentation of the structural work, plus all logbooks, available on request. Will be professionally crated and shipped disassembled, worldwide, in a standard container at buyer's expense. Located in Slovenia (EU); inspection welcome. Asking €95,000-100,000 ($85.000,00), negotiable for the right buyer.
