• This 2000 Robinson R22 Beta II is a well-kept instrument trainer for a flight school or a pilot working toward a helicopter instrument rating. Instrument training means a lot of hours, so a low hourly operating cost matters. The R22 is the most economical Robinson to operate, and this one carries a full instrument panel: Bendix/King KI 525A HSI, KLN 94 GPS, KX 165 nav/com and KR 22 marker beacon, plus a Garmin GTX 335 ADS-B Out transponder with built-in WAAS GPS. R22s set up for instrument training don’t come up for sale often, and they stay in demand with schools and students.
• The helicopter has 4,048 hours total time and a fresh annual completed 23 Sep 2026. The Lycoming O-360-J2A has 1,849 hours since major overhaul, with compressions of 75, 75, 75 and 74 over 80 at the annual. The main rotor blades, spindles and hub were replaced in April 2026 and retain 86% of their blade and spindle hour life, with a blade calendar limit of December 2035. New tail rotor blades were installed in April 2023 and retain 87% of their hour life. The tail rotor gearbox was overhauled by Robinson in 2021, and the pitch control bearing, swashplate support components, starter, ring gear, alternator and battery have all been renewed since 2023. Skids are clean with no scratches or step marks. Paint is in great shape and the interior is in decent condition.
