Detailed Description

2018 Van's RV-9 ' IFR ' 300 Hours

Asking $159,000

An efficient, low-time RV-9 for weekend trips, cross-country travel, and building flight time and experience. With 36 gallons of fuel capacity and economy cruise around 6.1 GPH, it's a practical way to explore more of the country. I completed my instrument training and checkride in this aircraft.

New to tailwheel flying? Tailwheel instruction and RV transition training are available through qualified instructors. With a good instructor and structured practice, the transition can be more approachable than you might expect. It's also a rewarding way to sharpen rudder coordination, directional control, and stick-and-rudder skills. For newer pilots and time builders, RV transition and tailwheel training fees can be included in the final sale by agreement.

Runway options include concrete and asphalt, suitable maintained grass strips, and firm, smooth gravel runways where surface conditions and aircraft configuration permit. Runway length, surface condition, aircraft limitations, and pilot proficiency always determine suitability.
