About the 112

The Rockwell International 112 is an American single-engine, four-seat general aviation aircraft featuring a fixed-wing layout suited for personal and private flying. Designed for utility and touring, it pairs a single piston powerplant with a conventional cabin arrangement intended for a pilot and three passengers.

Originally brought to market by North American Rockwell, the design later saw the introduction of turbocharged and larger-engined variants under the Commander series. Rights to the airframe passed through several companies, including Gulfstream Aerospace and the Commander Aircraft Company, which later released updated models and alternative commercial designations before production ultimately ceased. Thousands of airframes across the various iterations were constructed during its active manufacturing years.
