About the Evektor SportStar

The Evektor-Aerotechnik As Evektor SportStar is a fixed-wing, single-engine light aircraft built in Czechia. Featuring a low-mounted wing and a bubble canopy that offers high outward visibility, it suits touring, basic flight training, recreational flying, and towing duties. The layout accommodates a single pilot alongside one passenger.

Developed alongside its lighter counterpart for the European ultralight market, the design aimed to satisfy flight schools with low maintenance needs and operational economy. It became the initial special light-sport aircraft approved within the United States following regulatory changes. The airframe is also capable of towing banners and heavy sailplanes.
